Mix in a heavy pan

4 cup sugar

1 large can evaporated milk

1/2 stick oleo

After bringing to boil, let full boil exactly 9 minutes stirring occasionally.  Remove from heat and add quickly

1 1/2 pint jar marshmallow crème (4 cup miniature marshmallows)

 12 ounce package chocolate chips - semisweet (2 cups of chocolate chips)

2 cup pecans (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla

Pour into a shallow buttered pan.

Cool completely.
